Kenai River Dipnetting

The Kenai River dipnet scene was hot on Tuesday July 14, 2009. Dozens of dipnetters found a healthy slug of fish beginning their journey up the Kenai River. Across the inlet, Redoubt Volcano continued to steam, although the eruption level has been downgraded.

The salmon have been returning to the Kenai River in big numbers this week. Dipnetters from all over the state came to share in the bounty.
