Anchorage police took two, possibly three neighbors to the station because all parties wanted privacy from news cameras waiting outside Mindy Schloss' home near Stevens International Airport, said Paul Honeman, police department spokesman.
"No one's charged; no one's arrested," he said.
Honeman would not provide ages or other information about the neighbors who were questioned.
Schloss, 52, was last seen at her house around 7 p.m. Aug. 3. Her small red hatchback was found unoccupied and near the airport six days later.
Police and the FBI, who have been combing the woods at Kincaid Park near her home, returned to her residence on Cutty Sark Street off Raspberry Road on Saturday to find items that search dogs can use to pick up her scent and to talk to more neighbors.
"They're talking to every neighbor they can latch onto who they haven't talked to in detail," Honeman said Saturday night.
Detectives have a list of about 70 people they hope to question, including friends and neighbors, but no suspects, he said.
Schloss, called extremely punctual and responsible by friends, missed a flight to Fairbanks on Aug. 5, according to police. That she hasn't contacted friends or made any appointments since then strongly suggests foul play, Honeman said.
"It's not looking good," he said.
