The price of North Slope oil sold on West Coast open markets closed Wednesday at $85.89 per barrel, down 87 cents from Tuesday's price.

The U.S. natural gas price at the Lower 48's Henry Hub closed at $7.92 per million BTU, up 7 cents for the day.

Gold prices closed at $900.70 per ounce, up $14.80 for the day on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Zinc prices closed at $1.1341 per pound, down 2.65 cents.
