Some of you were probably baffled recently when Anchorage Assemblyman Allan Tesche drew comparisons between his fellow Assembly member Paul Bauer and the rise of Adolph Hitler. Tesche linked Bauer's attempts to have police ask for proof of citizenship or residency status during routine traffic stops to the rise of Hitler. Yeah, I can see how that's the same as exterminating 6 million Jews. Liberals like Tesche can't understand why conservatives like Bauer want to secure our borders, maintain the rule of law and do something about the millions illegally in our country and draining our social welfare system. Not to mention the impact on crime. Some liberals like Tesche believe conservatives like Bauer are cold-hearted racists with ice flowing through their veins because they are concerned about the invasion of illegal immigrants. Tesche and others like him ignore the heavy burden illegals place on hard-working U.S. taxpayers. Politicians are very generous with your money when it comes to providing free stuff. If you break into to this country, no problem, you still get the free stuff. Tesche's fellow liberal Assembly member Sheila Selkregg also doesn't seem to mind the idea of wide open borders. Selkregg pulled out the old standby for liberals, the race card, accusing Bauer of singling out people of color by requiring proof of citizenship before getting an Alaska license. Bauer's ordinance calls for everyone to provide proof of residency, not just those with darker skin. But liberals rarely deal in facts. Emotion drives their logic. Tesche and Selkregg refuse to even consider the possibility Bauer sincerely believes illegal immigration is a problem in Anchorage. Why? Because Bauer is a dreaded conservative. You might say to yourself, how can Tesche's judgement be so jaded, and off base that he would compare Bauer's reasonable policy to the rise of the most evil man in history, Adolf Hitler? You would think if anything resembles Nazisim today it would be the Muslim jihadist movement. Both Nazism and jihadism are built on hatred of Jews. Both have no regard for the value of life. Both have no problem killing women and children. But chances are you won't hear Tesche comparing Muslim jihadists to Hitler. If you study liberals like Tesche, you'll notice a defining characteristic. They are more cynical of conservatives than, say, al-Qaida. In the fairy tale world of liberalism, it is conservatism, not jihadism that presents a clear and present danger. Some liberals want to redistribute wealth, wipe God out of our society, redefine marriage and promote the culture of death by pushing for abortion on demand at all times, for all ages and under any circumstance. The No. 1 enemy of this liberal agenda is the war criminal George W. Bush and the conservative movement. Not Osama bin Laden. Al-Qaida is off in a distant land hiding in caves. Conservatives are among us. They have infiltrated this nation and try on a daily basis to undermine the church of liberalism. Conservatives must be neutralized, not al-Qaida, if the theology of liberalism is to flourish. When Democratic congressional candidate Jake Metcalfe appeared on my show recently, he refused to admit we face a threat from Islamo-fascism. I even tried to pin him down by asking if radical Islam presented a threat. I thought at least by defining the jihadist as radical, he might bite. He wouldn't. He couldn't bring himself to say anything negative about the Muslim terrorists wreaking havoc on our globe. This is why there is a near blackout from the mainstream media on the atrocities of the Muslim world. The leftists in the media are more concerned about the real enemy, conservatism, not jihadism. I will admit some conservatives are not big fans of liberals. But most conservatives I know see liberals as childish, foolish, misguided and living in La La land. We don't see liberals as evil. We just see them as silly. But these days in the mind of some liberals, like Allan Tesche, the closest thing we have to Nazism is conservatism.
