Who: Only voters within the city's Fire Service Area would repay the debt but it must be approved by voters in the service area and citywide. The service area covers the Anchorage Bowl and Eagle River but does not include Girdwood, Peters Creek, Birchwood and parts of the Hillside.
What would it do: Pay to replace and expand the city's fire training center and to replace air packs.
History: A $3 million fire protection bond passed last year.
City debt: Total tax-supported city bonds (not counting school bonds) issued and authorized as of Dec. 31 -- $437.5 million
