Linehan sentenced to 99 years

  Mechele Linehan was sentenced to 99 years in prison for the murder of Kent Leppink on April 2, 2008.

On Wednesday, April 2, 2008, Superior Court Judge Philip Volland sentenced Mechele Linehan to 99 years in prison for her role in the murder of Kent Lippink.

Mechele Linehan is advised by defense attorney Kevin Fitzgerald prior to leaving the courtroom as court ends before her sentencing hearing is completed Friday afternoon March 28, 2008 downtown. The process is scheduled to continue next Wednesday afternoon.

John Carlin was convicted in 2007 of conspiring with Mechele Linehan, a former Anchorage stripper turned soccer mom, in the 1996 shooting death of Linehan's fiance, Kent Leppink.
