The price of North Slope oil sold on West Coast open markets reached a record high for the third straight day, closing Thursday at $123.69 a barrel, up 16 cents for the day.

The U.S. natural gas price, at the Lower 48's Henry Hub, was $11.32 per million BTU on Thursday, up 25 cents from Wednesday's price.

Gold prices closed at $880.60 per ounce today on the New York Mercantile Exchange, up $11 for the day.
