Rainbow action in lakes like Willow, Christiansen and Crystal should be good, boosted by cool, cloudy weather. Pike fishing has picked up in Nancy Lakes.
Sheep Creek (3)

Good silvers and chum, especially near the mouth. High water levels might make trout and grayling fishing difficult.
Montana Creek (2)
Silver salmon, trout, grayling
Silver salmon roared in over the last week, along with pinks and chum. Try Egg-sucking Leeches and Muddlers for trout feasting on salmon eggs. Remember, the creek is catch-and-release only for rainbows.

ANCHORAGE AREA

Ship Creek (11)
Silver salmon
Some anglers are limiting out on bright silvers, which tend to be a bit small. Roe, spinners, and drifting corkie-yarn combinations work. Expect fishing to improve as water levels drop.
Bird Creek (10)
Pink, silver salmon
Silver salmon fishing was fair, but should improve as the run builds. Pink and chum salmon are showing up too. Beware of bears.
Campbell Creek
Silver salmon, trout, Dollies
Section between Dimond Boulevard and C Street is open to silver fishing, but the water has been murky and fishing slow. Dolly and rainbow fishing will improve as salmon roe becomes available.

Homer Spit (15)
Silver salmon
Fish and Game calls silver fishing "hot" at Nick Dudiak Fishing Lagoon, and it should improve into August. Daily bag and possession limit of six in the lagoon area. Resurrection Bay (24)
Silver, pink, king salmon; halibut, rockfish, lingcod
Some anglers are limiting out on silvers between Caines and Callisto Head as the fish move into the bay. Good catches of rockfish in near shore areas. Deep Creek offshore (22)
King salmon, halibut
Better success trolling for king salmon off the south side of Kachemak Bay, Bluff Point and north to Ninilchik. Some silver salmon too, around the mouth of Kachemak Bay. Try fishing one hour before high tide to two hours after for best luck.
