The fair runs through Monday. Hours are noon to 10 p.m. weekdays, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekends and Labor Day.
ADMISSION
Today is $2 Tuesday: Admission $2 from noon to 2 p.m.
Otherwise, one-day adults, $10; youth 6-12 and seniors 65 and older, $6.
Three-day pass, adults, $25; youth 6-12 and seniors 65 and older, $15.
Season pass, adults, $60; youth 6-12 and seniors 65 and older, $40
Children 5 and younger, free
GETTING THERE
The Fairgrounds are an hour north of Anchorage on the Glenn Highway in Palmer.
Parking rates range from $3 for a motorcycle and $5 for a car to $18 for RVs and $28 for vehicles with tow behind. Daily premier parking on the fairgrounds is $25. Parking lots are Red, Yellow and Purple. Attendees are directed to particular lots depending on the direction they are coming from, flow of traffic and the fullness of the lots. The Red Lot is on the south side of the Fairgrounds, closest to Anchorage; the Purple Lot is on the north side of the Fairgrounds, closest to Palmer, and the Yellow Lot is on the East side of the Fairgrounds.
TAKE THE TRAIN
This year's schedule includes two trains Saturday, one train Sunday and one train this Friday. Visit alaskarailroad.com/arrc39.html for schedules and ticket information. Ticket prices include fair admission.
TAKE THE BUS
