Parks and Recreation Horticulture employees began installing about 1,300 hanging baskets in downtown Anchorage on Tuesday morning, May 22, 2012. Workers will begin planting about 8,000 flowers in Town Square Park this week. About 80,000 flowers, most of them started from seed, will be planted in beds throughout the municipality.
