Lynx shooters shut out Cougars 7-0

Dimond's A team fired a 1,151 on Friday against Service, finishing one point below the region record the Lynx set earlier this season.

Top shooter Quinton Cluff shot a 291 in the sweep while second-place Ashley Devon fired a 288. Story Sagmoen and Katya Kramer each fired a 286 in the victory.

The performance marked the second time in three weeks the Lynx have bettered the old region record of 1,150, set by Service in 2002.

Eagle River's Janine Dutton shot a meet-high 293 on Friday, but East topped the Wolves 4-3.

East's top shooters were Mandy Dickey and Donovan Walton, who each fired 284 to help the East A team earn a season-best score of 1,125.

Chugiak's Matt Martin fired a meet-high 287 on Friday at Bartlett to lead Chugiak to a 4-3 win over the Golden Bears.

Bartlett captured victories in the B and C team victories behind Miguel Batista (281) and Mu Xiong (275), respectively.
