The final vote is in - and state Rep. Mike Kelly is still one vote ahead of his rival.
Elections Division director Gail Fenumiai says the Fairbanks Republican has an unofficial total of 5,018 votes after his district's 49 overseas ballots were counted today.
Democratic challenger Karl Kassel has 5,017 votes.
A recount is expected.
Altogether, some 2,600 overseas ballots from Alaska's general election are being counted by hand.
Fenumiai says no other races are considered up for grabs.
She says the general election is expected to be certified in early December.
