The price of North Slope oil sold on West Coast open markets closed Monday at $38.51 a barrel, up $2.90 for the day.
U.S. natural gas, at the Lower 48's Henry Hub, was $5.74 per million BTU, down $0.25.
Gold closed at $767.40 per ounce on the New York Mercantile Exchange, up $16.90.
Zinc closed at $0.5271 per pound, down 1.74 cents for the day.
