Alas darlings, Ear has gone Christmas shopping so there won't be a full column this week. However, for your amusement, here's a copy of a Christmas card called "Redneck Reindeer" that showed up in most Legislative offices last week. The message reads "Merry Everything! Capital City Republican Women."

Who knew Republicans had a sense of humor.

Hmmm. Maybe it's not meant as a joke. Whatever.

Ear tried to get in touch with the artist, an Alaskan named Sandy Jamieson, but ear-mail attracted no response. He has a Web site, so you can Google his other work if you want.

In case you can't tell, it's Santa with a rifle doing a bit of airborne wolf hunting. Some say the driver looks like Sarah. They cite the glasses, but Ear thinks the figure is wearing goggles and doesn't look like the Governor.

As usual, earwigs will make up their own minds.
