Margaret Denkewalter and Brennan Mischenko

Margaret Lynn Denkewalter and Brennan James Mischenko of Talkeetna are to be married Sept. 19, 2009, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Talkeetna.

Margaret is the daughter of Eric and Geraldine Denkewalter of Talkeetna. She graduated from Susitna Valley High School in 2000 and from Duke University in 2004. She is enrolled in an accelerated Bachelor's of Nursing program at Loyola University Chicago and will graduate in June 2009. Margaret enjoys coffee, holidays, the radio, Mexico, mail, Spike, Christian apologetics and laughing at Brennan's stories.

Brennan is the son of Anatole and Sandy Mischenko of Talkeetna. He graduated from Susitna Valley High School in 1994 and spent many years on the North Slope working for Quadco Inc. He is employed at Talkeetna Mechanical Inc. as an HVAC technician. He has a beautiful and clever 7-year-old daughter, Bailey Mischenko. Brennan enjoys softball, hunting rabbits, Russia, fishing, snowmachining, agreeing with Margaret, "No heat emergencies" and telling stories.

Emily and Patrick Amundson

Emily Sanders and Patrick Amundson were married Oct. 24 in a civil ceremony in Jacksonville, Fla., where they live. On March 21, they will have a ceremony and reception at Lake Union Cafe in Seattle to celebrate with family and friends. Their attendants will be Ariane Gauvreau, Megan Scott, Kim Ovsepyan, Nicole England, Lindsey Evans, Ross Amundson, Erik Amundson, Scott Senner, Justin Garza and Mike Bare.

Emily is the daughter of David and Terry Sanders of Anchorage. She was born and raised in Anchorage, where she graduated from Dimond High School in 2001. Emily attended Western Oregon University, where she earned a degree in social science. After studying and interning at the Fulbright Commission in London, Emily moved to Seattle. She obtained a job at a stock brokerage firm, where she worked for more than two years. Emily has moved to Jacksonville to join her husband. She looks forward to traveling the world with him.

Patrick is the son of Steve and Debbie Amundson, formerly of Anchorage, currently of Seattle. He also grew up in Alaska and graduated from Dimond High School in 2001. Patrick attended Concordia College in Morehead, Minn., double majoring in political science and psychology. After graduating from college, he worked on completing his application for Officer Candidate School for the Navy. He is a supply naval officer on the USS Carney, stationed in Mayport, Fla.
