A front-page headline Saturday -- "Contempt charges are filed by Senate" -- incorrectly described the action taken by the Alaska Senate on Friday regarding the "Troopergate" investigation last year. There were no charges filed. By a 16-1 vote, the Senate passed a resolution finding that Todd Palin and nine aides to Gov. Sarah Palin "committed contempt" for failing to appear before a legislative committee that was investigating the Troopergate matter. The resolution says they face no penalty.

A front-page photo caption Feb. 1 incorrectly identified Neisha Jones as a sister of Carolyn Mitchell, who filed suit after she was handcuffed and held at the scene of a bank robbery. Neisha Jones is Carolyn Mitchell's daughter. The caption also erred in saying Neisha Jones' last name is Mitchell.
