SUSITNA VALLEY -- A National Weather Service winter storm warning for the Susitna Valley north of Talkeetna is scheduled to remain in effect until 4 p.m. today. The warning went into effect at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The service predicted that snow would develop Wednesday afternoon in the affected area, including Talkeetna, Willow and Cantwell, and would drop 1 or 2 inches before thickening in the night. The weather service called for between 8 and 14 inches of snow today north of Talkeetna and 3 to 7 inches elsewhere.
