2010 State high school basketball tournament

Volunteers took part in a shoveling party on Sunday, as they helped prepare the designated race trails at Kincaid Park for the upcoming 2010 U.S. Cross Country Ski Championships Jan. 2-8.
Over 700 high school skiers from 20 Alaska schools participated in the 5k Lynx Loppet classical ski race on Friday December 11, 2009 at Kincaid Park.
2009 World Cross Country Ski Championships
Anchorage's Kikkan Randall stretched her ski across the finish line and broke new ground for U.S. skiing today. Randall, 26, held off Finland's Pirjo Muranen in a photo finish in the Czech Republic to take silver in the world championship sprint, becoming the first US woman to win a world or Olympic medal in cross-country skiing.
