Schools: $69.88 million bond

Purpose: Build addition to and renew Service High School; extend water and sewer lines to Eagle River High; design plans for Girdwood K-8 school.

Your cost, scenario A: $21.81 a year for owner of $300,000 property if state fully reimburses city the amount allowed by law.

Your cost, scenario B: $55.02 a year for owner of $300,000 property if state does not reimburse city.

Who votes: All Anchorage voters

Who pays: All Anchorage property owners

Voting history: Since 1986 voters have approved 63 percent of all school bonds, including bond measures in 2007 and 2008.

Anchorage debt: The city's general obligation debt at the end of 2008 was $1.25 billion. Anchorage paid off $73 million in debt (including $46.4 million owed by the Anchorage School District) in 2008.
