"The two occupants of the plane are both Hageland employees, both uninjured and fine," said Lt. Craig Macdonald of the Bethel troopers post.
The Cessna 208 Caravan was headed from Scammon Bay to Bethel and was empty except for the two workers, said Hageland director of operations Patrick Thurston. It's too early to say what went wrong, he said.
Troopers planned to send a team from Chevak, the nearest village, to pick up the stranded employees.
Thurston said the plane was likely forced to land between 2 and 3:30 p.m.
