Anchorage Police need help in identifying this man suspected of taking gold chains from Northway Mall Zales March 31.

Anchorage Police need help in identifying a man who walked into the Zales Jewelers store in the Northway Mall at about 5:30 p.m. March 31 and asked to see some gold chains. As the clerk assisted him, the suspect grabbed a $2,000 chain out of his hand, ran through an adjacent store and into the parking lot in an easterly direction.
The man is a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 150 pounds, about 20 years old, with short brownish/black hair and a slight goatee on the tip of his chin. He was wearing tan cargo pants, white and brown sneakers, and a red shirt with vertical 7's on it.
