Six high school athletes in Anchorage have announced where they intend to compete in college in the Lower 48.

• Ben Jackson of Service will attend Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, to compete in jumping events for the Cougars' track team.

• Trevour Riske of Dimond will attend McKendree University in Lebanon, Ill., to bowl for the Bearcats.

• Marcus Mendez of Bartlett will attend San Jose City College in San Jose, Calif., to play football for the Jaguars.

• Gabrielle Todd of Bartlett will attend Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tenn., to run track for the Tigers.

• Andrew Mezich of West will attend Alabama State University in Montgomery, Ala., to play baseball for the Hornets.
