Alaska State Troopers say 23-year-old Edward N. Domrude II was driving early Saturday near Mile 9.9 and lost control on a curve.

The car slid into the ditch, turned over and came to rest on its roof.

Domrude freed himself but a passenger, 29-year-old Joshua A. Brown, was trapped inside.

Troopers took a call on the crash just before 6 a.m.

Domrude and Brown were transported by ambulance to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.

Brown was later transferred to Alaska Regional Hospital.
