A woman was seriously injured Monday night after being ejected from her seat in a two-vehicle collision in East Anchorage, according to Anchorage police. The accident took place at about 8:30 p.m., when the two vehicles collided under a stop light at the intersection of Boundary Avenue and Muldoon Road, police said.

The woman had been driving east on Boundary with a baby in her vehicle when it collided with another vehicle heading north on Muldoon, police said. It was not immediately clear who was at fault or what caused the accident.

The woman was ejected from her vehicle, which then struck a fence and a light pole. She suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, although police said she was able to talk when they arrived.

The baby in her vehicle and the driver of the northbound vehicle, which also struck a light pole, were OK, police said.

Police did not immediately release the names of those involved.

Officers remained on the scene into the night investigating the cause of the accident.
