Ice that pushed over the banks of the Yukon River also destroyed one house.
However, Jeremy Zidek, spokesman for the Alaska Division of Homeland Security, says flood waters were receding late Tuesday afternoon.
He says the ice jam had worked its way through, and water was moving again on the river.
About 30 homes in Tanana were reported to have water in them, and Zidek says another house from upriver was seen floating past the city Tuesday.
