Palin names several to business boards
Gov. Sarah Palin has made the following appointments to business-related state boards. • Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority -- Michael T. Felix ws appointed and John R. Winther reappointed to the five-person board that oversees the state business-loan and development funding agency. Felix, of Anchorage, is president of telecom company AT&T Alascom. Winther, of Petersburg, has investments in the fisheries and oil industry. • Alaska Natural Gas Development Authority -- William R. Jeffress and Brian D. Rogers was appointed and Kathryn K. Lamal reappointed to a seven-person board on the agency pursuing a natural gas pipeline project from the North Slope to Alaska communities. Jeffress, of Anchorage, is the manager of SRK Consulting Engineers and Scientists office in Alaska. Rogers, of Fairbanks, was just appointed chancellor of the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Lamal, of Fairbanks, is vice president for power supply of Golden Valley Electric Association.
