Maybe the joke by Dave Letterman was inappropriate. He was not specific about ANY PERSON and I assumed it was about the one who already got knocked up out of wedlock.
How is that more disrespectful for families, when on August 13, 2008, a 6 year old in Anchorage was killed by a pit bull and just 3 weeks later the non-qualified celebrity candidate for VP compares herself to a pit bull with lip stick?
Ya, she respects families, like she respects science education, Juneau residents, Trooper commissioners, clean water, conservative values -- over $2000 per day for clothes on the campaign trail.

Big thank-you to firefighters
I am writing this to give a very heartfelt thank you to the fire fighters and EMS from station 3 in anchorage also to APD. On June 11th 2009 my mother Margaret Schofield passed away in my home and the men and women from station 3 and APD did everything they could to help my mother. I just wanted to express my gratitude to them for helping do everything possible to try and bring my mother back. I know they are just normal people like you and I but they do a job that makes them extraordinary people. So again thank you on behalf of my mother and our family for all of your help.

Boo, Rex Butler
Rex Butler should be ashamed of himself for holding a news conference with his client Dawud Azizi Johnson in front of the jail before turning in his client. Mr. Butler by all accounts just loves being in the spot light. He takes on high profile cases but its disgusting to hold a news conference and pleading his case before the masses before there is even a trial. My prayers go out to the victims family, because I'm sure it tore them apart to see Mr. Butler and Mr. Johnson grand standing for the media. It's not all about the media attention you get Mr. Butler. Remember there is a family that lost a loved one. Maybe once think of the victims and not your ego.

Minshall's criticism of torture was off-base
Too frequently histories "hate hate with hate" eventually become exactly what they've hated. al-Hajji Fredrick Minshall cleverly blends unrelated facts to imply put-downs offering no real evidence; lawyer-style spinning truth, thru implications by association and other debating trickeries.
Examples: No respect for Rumsfeld's integrity, yet quotes him to show America's like Hitler. Paul Jenkins and Hitler thru similar disingenuous implications. Many otherwise patriotic Americans believe America's committed occasional war-crimes. So did the Catholic Church, Martin Luther, Germany, Israel; oh, us too: many not few historic Muslim leaders; such deviations instigated the Crusades.
Minshall's style imitates nasty-mouthed pro-lifers forcing gory photo's of aborted fetuses onto unwilling innocent passerbyes. Accusers like these, instead are simply insides of boiling hatred, cowardly hiding behind legit appearances to hi-jack credibility. Persons who hate so more accurately represents their real political or religious inner selves. Minshall twistingly hi-jacks, yes accurate facts; but hopefully the escalation of his wrath can stop at just the venting.
