TransCanada executive to speak

Anthony Palmer, vice president of Alaska operations for TransCanada Corp., will make an appearance Monday at the Westmark Hotel to talk about recent developments in plans to construct a pipeline to transport natural gas from Alaska's North Slope to the Lower 48.

Palmer's appearance, sponsored by the Alaska Black Chamber of Commerce, will take place at 2 p.m. at the hotel at 720 W. Fifth Ave.

Because seating is limited, reservations with payment are required. Admission will be $18 for Chamber members and $27 for non-members. For reservations, call 274-1201.
