Arlene K. Moe has moved to Anchorage and attended a court hearing by phone on Tuesday.

Superior Court Judge Patricia Collins granted Moe's request for a court-appointed lawyer and set the arraignment on charges of theft and check forgery.

Juneau police say the 51-year-old wrote herself unauthorized checks totaling more than $40,000 while a member of the league's board in 2007 and 2008.
