Rachel Kenley of Palmer has won one of six national young entrepreneur awards from the National Federation of Independent Business and Visa Inc. She runs Kenley's Alaskan Vegetables and Flowers, a business she started in 2001 as a subscription vegetable service. Last year she merged her company with her mother's produce business, and now Kenley's Alaskan Vegetables & Flowers grows and sells vegetables, cut flowers and arrangements, the NFIB said. The award includes a $5,000 scholarship. Kenley was one of more than 6,000 applicants for the awards.
Energy staff supplier opens regional office
