Bethel resident Richard Hickman, 20, is accused of spraying the officer with urine and spraying two other officers with ketchup on Tuesday, troopers said.

Court records indicate Hickman, who has a long criminal history, was being held on charges of burglary, resisting arrest and criminal mischief filed June 22. He was also convicted of third-degree assault in February.

Following his outburst Tuesday, Hickman was hit with new charges of first-degree harassment and two counts of disorderly conduct.
