FAIRBANKS -- Gun rights enthusiasts, including rock-and-roller turned avid hunter Ted Nugent, are expected to call in to a talk radio show in Fairbanks, where Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has scheduled an appearance.
Nugent will call in to KFAR radio during Michael Dukes' two-hour show today. Palin spokesman Dave Murrow says while the governor is in Fairbanks, she will sign several pieces of legislation supporting citizens' rights to carry and bear arms. Murrow says the governor has been a consistent supporter of Second Amendment rights and the bills reflect that. Nugent is a 60-year-old rocker who hit success in the 1970s with several albums that went platinum, including "Cat Scratch Fever." He also has been an outspoken supporter of the Second Amendment.
