AROUND THE HORN
— The Glacier Pilots slipped from first place to second on Wednesday, after dropping two games to the Athletes in Action. They trail the Mat-Su Miners and the Anchorage Bucs, who are tied for first. In the first game, winning pitcher Ryan Woolley helped AIA to a 10-9 victory over the Pilots while Jeremy Stumetz earned the save. Kenny Hauser earned the win in the second game when AIA won 5-4.
-- Austin Barnes went 4 for 5, furnishing four runs and one RBI to lead the Bucs to a 13-1 victory over the Mat-Su Miners. The Miners' lone run came in the bottom of the ninth inning when Jason Cramer sacrifice flied to drive in Shane Brown.
-- A pair of unearned scores were all the Goldpanners needed for a 2-1 victory over the Peninsula Oilers. The Oilers only run came in the first inning, when Shayne Willson doubled to bring in Chris Ellison.
