AROUND THE HORN -- The Glacier Pilots beat the Bucs with two solo home runs -- one in the seventh by Gunner Glad and one in the seventh by Ricky Rossman to win Game 3 of the Mayor's Cup 2-0. Ryan Carpenter picked up the win after throwing 7 23 innings, striking out 13 and walking three. The deciding game of the Cup will be held Monday at Mulcahy Stadium
-- Earlier Wednesday, Brian Bello hit a two-RBI single in the top of the ninth inning to help the Bucs to a 3-1 victory over the Pilots to complete Game 1 of the Mayor's Cup that began on Monday but was postponed by rain in the top of the sixth inning. Pitcher Garret Carruth (5-0) earned the win with three innings, and Kevin Jacob recorded his 12th save of the season. -- Sean Timmons recorded his 300th and 301st career strikeout to help the Fairbanks Goldpanners edge the Athetes in Action 6-5.
