I am a breastfeeding mom, and a fellow blogger from your area brought to our attention a situation at a local water park, H2Oasis.
This so-called CEO needs to adhere to the laws of every mother who does what was intended for us to do, and that is to nurse our young. Even if it is in public!!!
We mean no disrespect, we're just doing what's best for our children.

Take a stand for moms
I'm writing this letter not in anger, but out of concern. I don't understand how a mother can go into an establishment and leave feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable just because she was trying to feed her baby with the best nourishment available.
When I heard what happened at Anchorage's H2Oasis on July 15, I was very saddened. A mother was not only asked to nurse her baby boy in another location, but was later insulted by the CEO, Dennis Prendeville, when he explained to her that her son doesn't even have rights because he's not 18.
According to Alaska law, women's breastfeeding rights are protected. If this is so, why did this mother, who was only trying to feed her baby, have to be subjected to such deplorable comments from a man who is uneducated and uninformed of the laws of his own state?
I hope that people will take a stand on this issue, and start showing support for breastfeeding mothers.

CEO out to lunch
I am outraged and disgusted by an event that took place at H2Oasis water park. The CEO of that place should be ashamed of himself! Dennis Prendeville should be fired and not allowed to work with the public. How dare he tell a woman that she should not be allowed to breastfeed her baby in public.
Do people ask him to eat his lunch in a bathroom? No? Then neither should that baby.
