KTUU reports the Hard Luck Creek Fire about 20 miles northwest of Fairbanks has destroyed one vacation home and two cabins and threatened about 30 other structures.

Meanwhile, a wildfire burning near the town of Anderson prompted officials to call for a voluntary evacuation of a subdivision.

Officials at the Railbelt Complex fire advised people in the Windy Creek subdivision to leave the area because the fire was spreading north from Red Dome to the Totatlanika River Valley.

The school in Anderson is the designated evacuation center.
