KENAI - It wasn't a good day for the Lathrop High football team.
Sometime during the Malemutes' 47-0 road loss at Kenai on Friday, someone stole electronic equipment from a room where Lathrop players had stored their personal gear.
More than $4,200 in cash and electronics, including a laptop computer and numerous iPods, were taken. That left many players with a long and silent bus ride back to Fairbanks.
The Kenai Police Department is investigating the theft.
