U.S. health $ vs. the world

$6,401 -- Amount the U.S. spent per person on health care in 2005.

$2,759 -- Average other developed countries spent.

$230,000 -- Average salary for a U.S. specialist physician.

$149,000 -- Average specialist salary in France, the next highest paid among U.S., France, Norway, Switzerland and Japan.

170.3 -- Coronary heart disease deaths per 100,000 male patients in the U.S., 2004.
