Link: Canwest News Service Canada has lodged a diplomatic protest with the U.S. government over its unilateral imposition of a fishing ban in a part of the Arctic Ocean above the Alaska-Yukon border claimed by both countries. The new flare-up in a long-simmering territorial dispute over an 8,000-square-mile section of the Beaufort Sea has come to light less than two weeks before Prime Minister Stephen Harper is scheduled to visit President Barack Obama at the White House.
