NONDALTON -- A Nondalton man is facing felony domestic violence assault charges after he punched and slashed a 10-year-old boy, Alaska State Troopers said Thursday.
Chuck N. Trefon, 47, is accused of punching the child in the head and cutting him in the stomach with a knife on Sept. 5, troopers said. The boy was treated and released at the Nondalton Clinic.
Troopers say alcohol was a factor in the attack. Trefon was arrested on two counts each of third- and fourth-degree assault. He was booked into jail in Dillingham without bail, troopers said.
