Links: Homer News, Homer Tribune A cross-continent motorcycle rally -- the "Iditarod of Harley-Davidsons" -- set to end in Homer next July 4 got the blessing of the Homer City Council this week after two organizers promised the participants wouldn't overwhelm the town. "I think it would be a shame if the city didn't do everything possible to bring this group and its effort to present a once-in-a-lifetime event to Homer," said motorcycle rider and Homer Chamber of Commerce executive director Tina Day. Greg Martin of Homer is so excited about the Hoka Key Motorcycle Challenge, he paid the $1,000 signup fee on the spot.
