Anisa Kae Nelson, 39, is charged with 31 counts each of second-degree forgery and fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.
Police say Nelson, a fifth grade teacher at O'Malley Elementary School, repeatedly forged prescriptions for 75 20mg pills of Adderall and got them filled at different pharmacies. Adderall is used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
"There was no indication she was giving it to anyone else," police Lt. Dave Parker said.
Superintendant Carol Comeau said Nelson has been on administrative leave since her arrest and school officials are planning to review her status.
