Link: Juneau Empire Haines has what it takes to thrill the world's best big-mountain skiers -- and the filmmakers who follow them. The nearby mountains are awesome, of course, but the town also offers creature comforts and good staging areas for helicopters that carry skiers and film crews. "That place is essentially the Mecca of big mountain riding," says supervising producer and cinematographer Josh Nielsen of filmmaker Teton Gravity Research.
