Link: Kodiak Daily Mirror The Alaska Department of Natural Resources held an open house this week in Kodiak to get feedback on a proposed land lottery for cabin lots on Ugak Bay. Things got heated fast. "I've been waiting 30 years for land, and you offer us land that's inaccessible," one audience member said. Access might be legal but would barely be possible because of rough terrain and the location of the lots on protected salmon streams. A department spokeswoman promised to do more research on the sites before the lottery goes to the public notice stage.
