Mark Wood, 50, was found dead Friday by the road about a mile outside of his home village on the Alaska Peninsula, troopers said.
Wood had been at his friend's drinking Thursday night and left on his four-wheeler wearing only a T-shirt and blue jeans, troopers said.
He never showed up for work the next day, and searchers began combing the area for him. He was found lying next to his four-wheeler near the airport on Friday, troopers said.
Troopers say it was cold and rainy the night Wood drove off and it appears he died from exposure.
His body was sent to Anchorage for an autopsy.
