STATEWIDE -- The IRS said it is looking for Alaska taxpayers who did not receive 372 refund checks totaling about $395,000. The checks were returned to the Internal Revenue Service because of mailing address errors. The average refund is $1,065, the IRS said.
Taxpayers generally can update their addresses with the "Where's My Refund?" tool on IRS.gov. They also can check the status of their refunds there, the IRS said. By phone, the number is 800-829-1954.
