Lynx in title tilt

The Dimond Lynx hockey team twice rallied from a one-goal deficit Friday to pick up its second decisive win at the Curtis C. Menard Memorial tournament in Wasilla.

The Lynx scored four consecutive second-period goals to beat Wasilla 8-3. They'll meet North Pole, a 10-2 winner over Kenai, in tonight's championship game at the Menard Center. The 7:15 p.m. game is scheduled to air on Valley radio station FM-99.7.

In consolation-round action, Palmer scored a pair of short-handed goals in a 5-1 win over Houston, and Bartlett bounced back from a bruising loss Thursday to nip Colony 3-2.

The Golden Bears led 3-0, but had to hold off Colony in the third period, when the Knights fired 17 of their 40 shots on goal.
