Limeres' practice emphasizes the regulation of qualified retirement plans, designing retirement and welfare benefit plans, and advising employers concerning employee benefits regulatory compliance and taxation issues. She has represented plans and employers in voluntary compliance, penalty assessment, prohibited transaction and other proceedings before the Department of Labor and IRS.
Prior to joining the firm, Williams was legislative director and chief counsel for Sen. Ted Stevens. Originally from Juneau, Williams received her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and B.A. in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
• The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium has named Carrie Brown as the new director of the Healthy Alaska Natives Foundation. A graduate of Nenana High School, Brown attended the University of Hawaii and Nagoya Gakuin University in Japan. In 1994, she graduated from Alaska Pacific University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in management/international business. From 2005 until August 2009, Brown served as executive director of the Alaska Native Arts Foundation and previously as senior vice president and chief administrative officer of the First Alaskans Institute.
