Sterling resident Tanner Geiser, 21, was charged with three felony assault charges, felony eluding, three counts of third-degree criminal mischief, driving under the influence, driving with a revoked license and reckless driving after his arrest early Sunday, troopers said.
Troopers said they tried to pull Geiser over near Judy Lynn Lane and Kalifornsky Beach Road about 1:50 a.m. Sunday but he failed to stop the blue 2006 Chevy pickup he was driving.
Geiser sped down Kalifornsky and onto West Poppy Lane, driving in and out of the ditch repeatedly and trying to ram a Bureau of Highway Patrol vehicle several times, troopers said.
The Chevy suffered significant damage during the pursuit and crashed into a home, then rammed a trooper vehicle before coming to a stop, troopers said. Geiser got out and ran into the home, where troopers arrested him, troopers said.
He was booked into Wildwood Pretrial Facility, troopers said.
