David Nolen recently joined the retail advertising department of the Anchorage Daily News as an account executive. He worked for the Daily News previously in a variety of distribution and outside sales positions, working with clients in the retail, real estate and automotive businesses. He moved to the Washington, D.C., area in 2001 and for the past seven years has been an advertising account executive for the Washington Post.
Attorney Steven M. Wells has been elected to the board of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. The NACDL is the preeminent organization advancing the mission of the criminal defense bar to ensure justice and due process for those accused of crime or wrongdoing. Wells began his private law practice in 2006 after serving seven years with the State of Alaska Public Defenders Office and the Office of Public Advocacy. He is a 1994 graduate of California Western School of Law and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Covenant College in Georgia in 1991. Best Lawyers, a peer-review publication in the legal profession, has named Michael J. Schneider as the "Anchorage Best Lawyers Personal Injury Litigator of the Year" for 2010.
